UNESCO-Coupons
Gutscheine, die auf US-Dollar ausgestellt sind und in allen Mitgliedstaaten der ⇡ UNESCO beim Kauf von Publikationen, Filmen u.a. Materialien mit erzieherischem, wissenschaftlichem oder kulturellem Charakter als Zahlungsmittel verwendet werden können. Bevorzugt in Ländern verwendet, in denen der Transfer von Devisen schwer oder gar nicht möglich ist. Coupons in Werten von 1.000, 100, 30, 10, 3 und 1 US-Dollar, daneben Blanko-Coupons, die von der Verteilerstelle (für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland: UNESCO in Paris), zum Wert von 1 bis 99 US-Cents ausgestellt werden. Lieferfirmen und Institutionen, die UNESCO-C. als Zahlungsmittel akzeptieren, senden sie zum Rückkauf an die UNESCO, Coupon Office, Paris.
